Thursday 11th September & Friday 12th September – Geography & ICT learning!

In Geography at the moment we are learning about our local area – Bishop’s Waltham. During these lessons we used the netbooks (which was very exciting) to explore Bishop’s Waltham on Google Maps and we even used Street View too!

We looked for our school and our home. Then we took the route we completed for our school trip!

Each group also looked at paper maps and leaflets too and collected evidence ready to make our leaflets.

Finally, a group at a time created a map for a BeeBot to travel along – we started at the High Street and it needed to get to school! This was great fun and we had to program the BeeBot to travel along the roads. We learnt about left and right and what you do at roundabouts!

Have a look at our pictures of us busy working in Gingko Class!
